Administering a deployed Web service

Once a Web service is deployed and enabled, you can administer it as described in the following table:

Action
Description
Disable and enable it.
Makes the Web service unavailable to Web service clients; makes it available again.
Export and import it.
Creates a backup file of the deployed Web service; uses the information in the backup file to deploy a Web service.

Note: Export creates a Web Service Definition (WSD) file; import requires an existing WSD file.

Get and set its properties.
Provides the value of its properties; resets one of its properties.
Get and reset its statistics.
Displays the value of each Web service statistic; reinitializes the statistics.
Query its deployment information and display its status (enabled or disabled).
Provides the Web service’s status (enabled or disabled), friendly name, namespace, SOAP action, and SOAP message style.
Update it.
Lets you change the Web service’s WSM file without undeploying and redeploying it.
Undeploy it.
Removes the files created when the Web service was deployed.
